” Companies must be informed of the stimulus package “. On Thursday September 17, Bruno Le Maire, French Minister for the Economy, and Gabriel Attal, Government Spokesman and Secretary of State to the Prime Minister, visited Rellumix, a 22-employee SME based in Cergy Saint-Christophe (Val-d’Oise) specializing in wastewater treatment for the Construction, Nuclear, Aeronautical and Defense industries.

The purpose of the trip was to promote the 100-billion-euro stimulus package that the French government has put on the table to support companies severely hit by the health crisis and lockdown.

Rellumix is the kind of company we want to support through our stimulus package, which is primarily aimed at small and medium-sized businesses. These companies will boost growth and employment,” said the Minister of the Economy.

Boost investments

A production tax cut of 10 billion euros, 1 billion euros in direct state aid for companies wishing to expand, a 25% reduction in corporate income tax from 2022, a 4,000-euro annual recruitment bonus for young people under the age of 26… The government has set the tone: there is a pressing need to support businesses across the country.

Our policy is clear: lower taxes,” insisted Bruno Le Maire. I keep hearing about about bankruptcy, and that’s understandable, but the real problem over the coming months concerns investment. Companies need to start investing again, that’s how we’ll get back on a firmer footing.

The stimulus starts today, not tomorrow. Credit is available immediately. We need to speed up the process so that by 2022, we can return to our pre-crisis level of activity.”
